My second family
Being a part of a church community has been such a huge source of comfort and stability over the course of my adult years. It's so hard to make friends when you are an adult -- making friends at school was so easy as a kid. You saw people every day and there were at least a couple of people that you could talk with and eat lunch with and maybe even hang out with after school. But once you get out of school, it seems the friend pool can dry up rather suddenly and all you have is your workplace and sometimes that isn't enough.
I was so thankful to have a place with Redemption Hill and these people make me feel welcome and loved -- just like a second family. I hope that you have your own second family out there because honestly, one family isn't enough for m
